Hope Farm is a unique rural wedding venue set in a secluded green valley on a family-run farm near Bridport in West Dorset.
It is an exciting venue that offers a rural outlook with an edgier, industrial rawness for couples looking for something different from the more traditional rustic barn venues.
The venue has incredible 360 degree views over the surrounding hills and offers attractive indoor and outdoor spaces and overnight accommodation.
They are licensed for wedding ceremonies of up to 130 guests and limit the number of weddings each year to ensure that they can give all their couples their full attention.
I first visited Hope Farm in December 2021 to provide venue consultancy services. I met Sue Stones who runs Hope Farm with her husband Nigel and their son Matt.
After viewing the venue and speaking with Sue I was able to help identify specific areas on how they could develop their business to achieve higher hire revenue and help improve their appeal to couples.
We discussed the opportunity to develop a second adjacent barn which would enable couples to enjoy an indoor wedding ceremony in wet weather. The second barn provided the flow for guests to move from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast without disruption of moving furniture.
As part of my wedding venue consultancy services, I also undertook market research which helped Sue to benchmark Hope Farm against other local wedding venues. This determined that there was an opportunity to raise their hire fee whilst still retaining good value for their clients.
Their website was also in need of a re-vamp so I worked with their web designers to produce a new website which would better attract new clients. This included writing a detailed brief, web content and curating an image gallery.
I continue to provide ongoing wedding venue consultancy, advice and support to Sue and it has been a joy to see their new barn develop and be so well received by their clients and guests. It has also been rewarding to see their bookings increase and a full diary for 2023.
Working with Charlotte has provided the contact I needed with the outside world of weddings. The professional advice given has been invaluable. Her attention to detail enabled me to achieve a professional website to be proud of and the ability to move forward with confidence knowing she is there when needed to advise and guide. She is altogether a lovely person.
